There are a wide variety of plants which are grown indoors. Different species of plants require different treatments, but there are still some general rules which apply to most, if not all indoor plants.
In most cases, indoor plants are grown in lower humidity than plants out in the garden. Note that, normal air conditioning produces cool low humidity air whereas evaporative air conditioning produces cool high humidity air, this differentiation affects the indoor plants as does the timing of use of air conditioning.
Generally indoor plants receive less light than those in a garden and this is not ideal for growing, also consider is it is important not to place indoor plants in direct sunlight which may damage the plants. Rapidly changing conditions also increase plant stress for indoor plants, for this reason, having pot plants in the bathroom or kitchen should be avoided if possible, because of the rapidly changing temperature and humidity. In addition, indoor plants are also subject to dust and therefore it is also important to keep the foliage clean.
What is Munash Organics Indoor Plant Seaweed Tonic?
It is a certified organic seaweed based liquid fertiliser with a small amount of trace elements, added macronutrients nitrogen and potassium and a particular amino acid which help the plant deal with stress. Liquid seaweeds have been shown, in literally hundreds of trials, to help plants with abiotic stress including reduced sunlight, lack of moisture and low humidity. Liquid seaweed also helps root development.
Munash Organics Indoor Plant Seaweed Tonic uses Australian bull kelp which has been shown to contain a number of substances which reduce the effect of abiotic stress, such as heat and cold, drought and excess soil moisture. In our seaweed tonic there are a number of plant growth regulators such as auxins which increase root development and also help the plant deal with abiotic stress. It also contains significant quantities of oligosaccharides, including, at least one, that increases root development. Both the auxins and oligosaccharides come from the seaweed component. Some trace elements come from the seaweed others are added in suitable form that can be absorbed by the plant. Similarly some of the amino acid is added and some of it comes from breakdown of protein in the seaweed.

Watering and feeding indoor plants:
Although it is essential to supply enough moisture, overwatering is a common cause of death of indoor plants. As a rule, plants should be watered about once a week in Spring, Summer and Autumn and every two weeks in Winter. However, more frequent watering may be needed in some circumstances, the soil should be kept moist. Succulents require less watering and the soil in pots should be kept just damp.
When to use?
Liquid fertilising should be applied every second or third watering in Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Munash Organics Indoor Plant Seaweed Tonic is designed to feed the plants and the soil through the potting mix: add 2mls to 2 litres of water and water your plants as normal.
